In todayââ¬â¢s world the vast majority of the population owns a cell phone. Cell phones are a huge part of peopleââ¬â¢s everyday lives. Since the 1940ââ¬â¢s when mobile phones became available for automobiles, phone companies have made huge strides in making mobile phones more efficient, much smaller, and more available for anyone to use. There was a time where only people of wealth had these types of mobile phones. Now people from all social classes own a cell phone. They are extremely convenient and have the ability to do just about anything you can think of. There is an ââ¬Å"appâ⬠for everything. You can make phone calls, text message, surf the web, pay your bills, read books, catch up on social media, and even listen to you music all from one smallâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦It would allow a 30 minute phone call. However, it then took a whopping 10 hours to recharge after use. The first huge development was the first generation analog cellular network that was pioneered by a company in Japan, in 1973. Then the second generation network system, known as the digital cellular networks, were created in 1990. Next came the launch of the third generation network system, known as the mobile broadband data network, in 2001. Now, we have a fourth generation network system, known as the native IP networks, that was launched in 2009. Cell phone networks have come a long way over the years and show no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Cell phones are a great convenience. They provide the ability to communicate in multiple ways. There is texting, social media sites, chat room apps, and of course the telephone capability. These abilities are great however they do occasionally bring up moral issues. Being able to take, send, and receive pictures and videos to other people as well as the ability to post them to social media sites. Issues such as ââ¬Å"sextingâ⬠, ââ¬Å"nude selfiesâ⬠, and what are supposed to be ââ¬Å"private sex tapesâ⬠. There are websites dedicated to ex-girlfriend/boyfriend ââ¬Å"revengeâ⬠. These sites give people the ability to post private pictures of exââ¬â¢s on a webpage allowing everyone who visits the page to see this.
